Role Overview
As a key member of SCOR SE, you will be responsible for producing, negotiating, underwriting, and managing Treaty Property & Casualty (P&C) Lines reinsurance business within the France & Belux Market Unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance the development and quality of the portfolio while adhering to the underwriting policy.
- Establish and nurture relationships with clients and brokers.
Under the guidance of the Head of France-Belux, your tasks will include:
- Underwriting: Build and sustain a profitable portfolio in line with Treaty underwriting guidelines.
- Marketing: Promote Treaty P&C capabilities, products, and services to brokers and ceding companies.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on accounts, visits, and marketing activities.
- Administration: Ensure the completeness of administrative data and oversee the administration of the OMEGA back-office tool in collaboration with Technical Assistants for both new and existing accounts.
- Pricing: Utilize the in-house Pricing Tool (xAct) in accordance with delegated authority.
Main Activities
- Underwrite Treaty P&C Lines following the Underwriting Guidelines, applying suitable terms and conditions.
- Identify new business opportunities to cultivate a profitable portfolio for SCOR P&C.
- Maintain and develop relationships with ceding companies and their reinsurance brokers.
- Conduct regular client visits.
- Promote SCOR through various communication and marketing initiatives (seminars, forums, materials, etc.).
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in the Treaty and CUO's network.
- Analyze the Treaty portfolio with a focus on profitability.
- Manage data within our information systems to accurately represent the risks underwritten and facilitate portfolio analysis.
- Engage regularly with actuarial and claims teams to enhance the underwriting process.
- Contribute to the development of the underwriting plan.
- Design, control, and sign Treaty wording.
Experience Required
- A minimum of 3 to 4 years in a Reinsurance Company, Reinsurance department of an Insurance Company, or Reinsurance Broker, with experience in decision-making underwriting and customer management or reinsurance pricing.

- Proficiency in main Office software, with a readiness to learn and master key Company tools (Omega, xAct, etc.).
Educational Requirements
- A University Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or Law.
- Full proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
