Exail's Quantum Systems activity combines expertise in quantum sensors, laser, optoelectronic, and ultra-high vacuum sub-assemblies. Our revolutionary instruments offer high-level performance and are at the forefront of science and technology.
You will join a diverse and dynamic team of around 40 people, combining skills in optics, lasers, electronics, computing, systems, mechanics, ultra-high vacuum, and atomic physics.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and characterize absolute quantum gravimeters for geophysics applications, including volcanology.
- Design and optimize differential quantum gravimeters for measuring gravity's vertical gradient.
- Work on laser-cooled microwave atomic clocks providing a time reference with high stability.
In this context, you will work on the quantum gravity sensors product line, performing characterization of instruments to ensure they meet technical specifications. Your activities will include:
· Conducting tests procedures on the quantum sensors following the existing internal process.
· Analyzing data and validating results with the team.
· Optimizing system parameters to ensure final measurement performance.
· Reporting on results, writing technical documents, and communicating with end-users.
Participation in post-sales customer support activities.
Profile
Education· Master 2 in engineering or physics with specialization in optics, quantum physics, or measurement and instrumentation.
· A first experience will be appreciated.
Skills and abilities· Taste for experimental work, including manipulation of set-ups and measurement instruments.
· Strong scientific culture, with background in optics, quantum physics, or metrology.
· Data analysis with Python.
· Scientific discipline.
· Interpersonal skills, team-oriented personality.
· Good communication skills for client interaction.
· Spoken and written English.
