Energy Portfolio Strategist

Flexcity France is a leading company in the energy sector, dedicated to decarbonising the industry and contributing to a greener future.

We are offering an attractive annual salary of €90,000 - €110,000, depending on experience, plus benefits and bonuses.

As our French Energy Portfolio Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing our flexibility portfolio in France. Your responsibilities will include:

• 
  
• Securing and optimising operationally and financially our portfolio of energy producing and consuming assets, through different grid services, while managing associated risks.
  
• Supporting Flexcity's growth by collaborating with the sales and business development teams.
  
• Maintaining strong collaboration and partnership within the portfolio team and between departments.
  

Your daily tasks will involve:

1. 
   
2. Managing daily and yearly tenders of network operators, determining available capacity in the portfolio and developing a corresponding bidding strategy based on market information and technical constraints.
   
3. Optimising and executing the bidding strategy, processing results, and configuring the portfolio for service delivery.
   
4. Monitoring proper delivery with proactive risk management.
   
5. Onboarding new assets smoothly, in collaboration with the delivery team.
   

You will also be responsible for:

• Providing flexibility valuation studies and key differentiators in tailored offers to asset owners, supporting the sales and business development team.
  
• Contributing to the evolution of our tools and processes, in coordination with the research and development team.
  

Your additional tasks will include:

• 
  
• Reporting and communicating operational results to customers and partners.
  
• Managing financial settlements between network operators, asset owners, and energy suppliers.
  
• Monitoring regulatory changes, participating in workshops, and working groups of the network operator.
  

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• 
  
• A solid foundation in the energy sector, preferably electricity markets, ideally well-versed in Ancillary Services.
  
• Mandatory knowledge in the Google Cloud Platform and Python environment.
  
• Fluent English language skills, with other languages considered a plus.
  
• Project management experience.
