Senior Data Scientist Lead

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist Lead to join our team at Datadog. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling new and existing features across the entire data science organization.
">Responsibilities- Identify high-impact business opportunities through data exploration, model prototypes, and bootstrapping projects.
- Develop, productionize, and operate machine learning models and pipelines at scale, including both batch and real-time use cases, structured and unstructured data.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists and engineers to develop the next generation of Datadog's features.
- Mentor and guide data scientists in the organization by promoting best practices, strong technical decisions, coding standards, and thorough documentation.
- Presentation of work internally (data science demo, internal talks) to technical, engineering, and product stakeholders to iterate and generate excitement.
About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity to grow your skills and contribute to the growth of Datadog. With a competitive salary of $160,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience, you will have the chance to work on cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with a talented team of professionals.
Requirements
- 8+ years of industry experience as a data scientist, ML engineer, tech lead, or similar role.
- A Master's degree or PhD in relevant fields.
- Deep understanding of Machine Learning lifecycle, best practices, algorithms, and domains.
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders from various business functions and ability to work with domain experts.
- Strong coding skills in general-purpose languages like Scala or Python, and familiarity with software engineering principles.
- Fundamental understanding of data engineering practices around creation of data pipelines, processing data, and storing data using technologies like Spark.
