Commodity Strategy Leader

As a key member of our Commodities Purchasing organization, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our purchasing function. Reporting to the Group Purchasing Commodities Director, you will be responsible for leading the definition of commodity strategies and managing the overall relationship and performance of the supplier base.
With a strong focus on delivering results, you will lead a global team of 5 highly experienced direct reports and collaborate with a community of purchasing members to drive business growth and excellence. Your expertise will be instrumental in defining and implementing ambitious commodity strategies, driving supplier performance, and contributing to the purchasing function's excellence roadmap.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement commodity strategies that align with the Group's vision and goals
- Lead a global team of Commodity Strategy Leaders and collaborate with purchasing members to drive business growth and excellence
- Define and achieve supplier performance objectives, including QCD, CSR, and Innovation
- Contribute to the purchasing function's excellence roadmap, embedding deep evolution of core processes, digitalization, and costing approach
- Master's degree in purchasing and/or engineering
- +10 years of experience in a global industrial purchasing environment
- Recognized managerial experience
- Experience in shaping commodity strategies in a cross-functional logic
- Technical skills enabling understanding and challenging internal stakeholders
- Deep understanding of the electronics industry (EMS, ODM, semiconductor companies)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proven mastery of purchasing core processes
- Good knowledge of purchasing information systems (E-Procurement, MDM, ERP, etc.)
- Proven experience in managing and developing people
- Recognized leadership and autonomy, ability to listen, and capacity to take decisions and initiatives
- Ability to handle complex situations and communicate simply around them
- Ability to develop a network of high-level business relationships
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Permanent position based in Annecy and Cluses (Upper Savoy), not far from international airport of Geneva, Switzerland
- Hybrid remote/in-office
- Travels (20 to 30% of the time)
- Salary + 13th month salary + bonus + incentive schemes and profit sharing, company savings plan
- 25 days of holidays + RTT days (additional days off)
