Job Description

As a key member of our Commodities Purchasing organization, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the Group's commodity strategies and managing the overall relationship and performance of the supplier base. Your primary objective will be to strengthen the Purchasing function of your perimeter, ensuring it is equipped to meet the challenges of the Group's Ambition 2030 Plan.

Reporting to the Group Purchasing Commodities Director, you will be responsible for leading the definition and implementation of ambitious commodity strategies across the Group's 10 factories worldwide, with a total purchasing turnover of 200 million euros.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a global team of 5 highly experienced direct reports (Commodity Strategy Leaders) and fostering a community of purchasing members (>30 people) associated with your technologies team. You will coach, support, and ensure the development and motivation of your team members.
  • Collaborating with your team and relevant stakeholders to define and implement commodity strategies that align with the Group's international and Group vision.
  • Defining and achieving supplier performance objectives (QCD, CSR, Innovation) across all Group countries. To achieve this, you will lead, structure, and challenge all supplier actions and projects.
  • Contributing to the purchasing function excellence roadmap, driving the evolution of core processes, digitalization, costing approach, and reinforced business continuity planning.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Master's degree in purchasing and/or engineering
  • +10 years of experience in a global industrial purchasing environment
  • A recognized managerial experience
Technical and Professional Skills

You will need to possess:

  • Experience in shaping commodity strategies in a cross-functional context
  • Technical skills enabling you to understand and challenge internal stakeholders
  • A deep understanding of the electronics industry (EMS, ODM, semiconductor companies)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proven mastery of purchasing core processes
  • Good knowledge of purchasing information systems (E-Procurement, MDM, ERP, etc.)
  • Fluent English required

You will be expected to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in managing and developing people
  • Leadership and autonomy, with the ability to listen and take decisions and initiatives
  • The capacity to handle complex situations and communicate simply around them
  • The ability to develop a network of high-level business relationships
  • The ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
Additional Information

This is a permanent position based in Annecy and Cluses (Upper Savoy), with a hybrid remote/in-office arrangement. You can expect to travel 20-30% of the time. The role offers a competitive salary, 13th month salary, bonus, incentive schemes, and profit sharing, as well as a company savings plan and 25 days of holidays + RTT days.
