Position Overview

The Project Engineering Coordinator plays a crucial role in assisting the Project Manager and the Implementation Team within the International Broadcast Centre (IBC). This position is essential for ensuring that all technical and operational planning is executed effectively throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Project Administrators, various departments, and external suppliers to devise and implement strategies that improve project efficiency.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and Design Team to analyze and provide technical feedback, addressing any challenges that arise during project approvals and installations.
  • Support procurement efforts by evaluating vendor proposals, designs, and estimates related to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Contribute to the development and assessment of innovative concepts and methodologies aimed at enhancing production, efficiency, and quality.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor ongoing work and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all projects, including specifications, submittals, designs, and schedules.
  • Participate in regular coordination meetings, reviewing design and construction documents, and providing recommendations as necessary.
  • Work with the Project Management Team to track potential changes in scope, ensuring all modifications are communicated to relevant departments.
  • Oversee site progress to ensure quality control and adherence to agreed plans and specifications.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should possess a combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates their capability to fulfill the responsibilities of this role, including:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three to five years of experience in project engineering or a related area.
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, with a background in chilled water systems being advantageous.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software.
  • Experience in managing large-scale project development and implementation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional multitasking capabilities.
  • Field experience is preferred.
  • Certifications such as EPA 608 and/or NATE are a plus.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
