Objective
To develop, validate, and sustain manufacturing processes and metrics that ensure product functionality and quality, alongside optimizing the industrial performance of related operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to product specifications throughout all phases of production.
- Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Fault Detection Classification (FDC) methodologies for the processes under your oversight.
- Manage the handling of non-compliant production batches and conduct diagnostics on the associated processes.
- Investigate and analyze factors affecting performance and quality within your assigned processes.
- Design and execute improvement strategies while maintaining or enhancing production and measurement protocols, ensuring compliance with industrial parameters such as process speeds and setup times.
- Replicate characterization methods across the processes you oversee.
- Develop and keep current all production documentation related to your processes.
- Contribute to Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), 8D problem-solving, and Material Review Board (MRB) activities pertinent to your area.
- Engage actively in the preparation for both internal and external audits.
- Provide training on processes for various personnel, including technicians and new hires.
- Assist in the formulation and execution of the technical strategy for your domain.
- Facilitate the transfer of processes to and from other X-FAB sites.
Candidate Profile
Education:
Engineering degree, Master's, or Doctorate.
Languages:
Fluent in English and French.
Experience:
Proven experience in semiconductor processes with the ability to characterize various deposited materials. Familiarity with SPC, FDC/APC, and Design of Experiments (DOE) is essential. You should be detail-oriented and self-sufficient, with a strong affinity for hands-on work in dynamic settings. Your communication skills and adaptability will enable you to integrate seamlessly into our teams.
In this international environment, you will interact with colleagues and suppliers globally. Your passion for team challenges and commitment to advancing automotive technologies of the future is crucial.
As an engineer, you should possess a genuine interest in applied sciences and technologies, including electromechanics, robotics, control systems, vacuum technology, and chemistry.
Required Methodologies:
FMEA, 6S, Ishikawa diagrams, and proficiency in using CMMS data.
Being autonomous and dynamic, you are recognized for your creativity, synthesis skills, and ability to foster relationships within a team. A strong inclination towards complex technical equipment and an interest in analytical methodologies are essential. Proficiency in English is required.
