About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior R&D Data Scientist to join our R&D Team. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development of new climate models and drive innovation in climate risk modeling.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting research on climate risk modeling and machine learning methods
- Identifying new and innovative ideas and testing state-of-the-art methods based on recent research articles
- Collaborating with the underwriting and business teams to ensure our products are efficiently integrated into the underwriting process and meet our clients' needs
- Proposing model developments or features that are technically and economically aligned with our company's strategy
- Taking part in new products/existing models, translating and combining multiple research ideas and solutions into a new product or module
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced R&D Data Scientist with a strong background in meteorological studies, physics, or applied mathematics. Your expertise in statistics, applied mathematics, physics, and machine learning methods will be essential in driving our climate risk modeling efforts.
As a Senior R&D Data Scientist, you will have a proven track record of significant individual contributor roles for solving complex problems and contributing to the design and development of parts of a model. Your proficiency in Python and fluency in English are also essential.
