About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior R&D Data Scientist to join our R&D Team. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development of new climate models, collaborating with underwriting and business teams to ensure our products meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on climate risk modeling and machine learning methods
  • Identify new and innovative ideas and test state-of-the-art methods based on recent research articles
  • Collaborate with underwriting and business teams to integrate our products into the underwriting process
  • Propose model developments or features aligned with our company's strategy
  • Lead the improvement and/or development of new models to enhance our understanding of climate risks
Requirements
  • Scientific academic background with a Research-oriented Master's Degree or PhD in Meteorological studies, Physics, or Applied Mathematics
  • 5-10 years of experience in R&D (PhD included)
  • Strong skills in Statistics, Applied mathematics, Physics, and Machine Learning methods
  • Proven track record of significant individual contributor roles for solving complex problems
