The Aga Khan Academies seeks a Communications Assistant to support the development and implementation of communications strategies across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a range of communication materials, including social media content, website updates, and newsletters.
  • Collaborate with Country Communications Leads to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all communications channels.
  • Provide editorial support for content produced by Country Communications Leads, ensuring alignment with AKS/AKDN style and branding guidelines.
  • Manage social media accounts, including creating and scheduling posts, responding to comments, and analyzing engagement metrics.
  • Support the development of annual content and deliverables plans, working closely with Head Office and Country Communications Leads.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field, or 5 years' experience in a communications role.
  • Native-level proficiency in English required.
  • Excellent editing and proofreading skills, with attention to detail.
  • In-depth knowledge of popular social media platforms, including Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Experience with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Cloud software.
  • Ability to work as a team player and independently, with strong interpersonal skills.
