We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Manager to join our team in Paris. As a key member of our cost management service delivery team, you will be responsible for providing expert cost advice and management services to our clients in the real estate sector.
Responsibilities- Support Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives and positively engaging with customers to develop, grow, and maintain customer relationships.
- Deliver high-quality services and ensure that cost management deliverables meet customer requirements.
- Manage projects to deliver high-quality services and deliverables in accordance with business procedures.
- Prepare and present order of cost estimates and option studies, conduct cost planning, and perform cost-in-use studies.
- Advise on and implement procurement strategies, prepare tender documentation, and manage the tender process.
- Evaluate and report on tenders, value completed work, and arrange for payments.
- Settle final accounts, provide technical advice on legal and contractual issues, and administer contracts as Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent.
- Produce and present reports to customers, mentor and coach employees to their full potential, and manage service delivery for profit.
- Advise Directors promptly of any issues that have arisen or might arise on projects, particularly those that might impact on Gleeds' professional indemnity (PI) insurance.
We are looking for a candidate with sound cost management experience in major construction projects covering pre-contract and construction/post-contract cost management tasks in France. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of professional experience in the construction industry, with experience in hospitality real estate being desirable.
The candidate should have excellent knowledge of French construction regulation, practical knowledge of construction procurement strategies, and knowledge of contractual forms of engineering missions, project management assistance, and project management.
The candidate should also have a methodical way of thinking and approach to work, organisational skills, and the ability to quickly adapt to changing environments. Additionally, the candidate should have excellent problem, negotiating, finance, and numeracy management skills, as well as sound ICT skills and proficiency in French and English.
The candidate should be based in Paris with possibly some travel and have a Bac+2 to Bac+5 degree or equivalent, with a diploma in the field of Construction Economics.
