We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Scientist to join our Global AI Hub at Schneider Electric. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced data management, artificial intelligence, and analytic functions to drive business growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with internal and external customers to understand their needs and develop relevant solutions.
- Collect, evaluate, and select Artificial Intelligence use cases with a focus on business value and technical risks.
- Design, implement, test, validate, and industrialize advanced data management, artificial intelligence, and analytic functions.
- Develop and deploy innovations and expertise through research, platforming, standardization, development of intellectual property, partnerships, and reference documents.
- Recommend and manage technical choices influencing anticipation and offer creation within the Artificial Intelligence Hub and beyond.
- Apply maturation and development processes and good practices defined within the Artificial Intelligence Hub and contribute to their updates.
- Share knowledge, teach, and coach within the Artificial Intelligence Hub and beyond.
- Promote Schneider Electric's strategy in the Analytics / Artificial Intelligence / Data Science domain through papers, blogs, conference presentations, and contributions to internal and external cross-function communities.
- Master or PhD or equivalent diploma in Analytics / Artificial Intelligence / Data Science or related subject.
- At least 7 years of experience in advanced data processing and Analytics / Artificial Intelligence / Data Science model and application development.
- Strong data science background in NLP, generative AI/LLM/RAG, and computer vision (Deep Learning).
- Good knowledge of Python, DevOps tools, and cloud platforms (Azure ML, Databricks).
- Significant software engineering experience with capacity to perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills, pragmatism, and rigor.
- Capacity to mentor beginners on technical skills.
- Leadership competencies including understanding business context, balancing long-term objectives, contributing innovative ideas, and building an agile network.
- Fluent in English.
