Job Description

We are seeking a Product Policy Manager to join our public policy team. In this role, you will collaborate with our internal product and engineering teams to provide expert advice on public policy implications related to the rollout of privacy-focused products and advertising technologies in different markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with internal product and engineering teams to understand the privacy implications and regulatory aspects of products being developed.
  • Proactively identify public policy challenges associated with the rollout of privacy-focused products and advertising solutions, and provide advice to mitigate these risks.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure the integration of privacy policy considerations in the product development process.
  • Represent Mozilla in external forums, industry groups, and other venues on privacy policy issues, particularly related to advertising.
  • Engage with policymakers, regulatory authorities, and stakeholders to advocate for privacy frameworks that support the open web and Mozilla's privacy-preserving product initiatives.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years experience in public policy, legal, or a related field, preferably with a focus on privacy, technology, and digital policy.
  • Strong understanding of the tech industry, privacy, and digital policy landscape, particularly as it pertains to advertising.
  • Proven track record to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, product managers, and other technical experts.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex privacy issues clearly and with precision.
