Role Overview

The Engineering Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of Engineering work scope, aligning with customer and regulatory requirements while adhering to project timelines, budget, quality standards, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee, schedule, and manage all facets of project information.
  • Assess and organize resource levels, material needs, and site requirements to guarantee effective project operations.
  • Analyze and comprehend client specifications thoroughly.
  • Lead building services coordination efforts in accordance with contractual commitments.
  • Ensure the production of appropriate standards, specifications, and information to meet project goals and obligations.
  • Take charge of the procurement process for equipment and materials to meet project requirements and delivery timelines.
  • Assist in the commercial management of the project, being mindful of specific project financial constraints.
  • Identify and document variations and delays to the agreed scope of work.
  • Provide necessary information for the preparation of valuations and invoices.
  • Supervise junior team members, demonstrating leadership and initiative while fostering teamwork and engagement.
  • Conduct precise site surveys and measurements, exhibiting flexibility in site visits as required.
  • Establish a collaborative relationship with clients, maintaining communication regarding all project aspects.
  • Contribute to the development of safe work systems, including method statements and risk assessments.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Minimum HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
  • Strong understanding of design and fabrication/assembly of packaged plant rooms, including structural, piping, and transport considerations.
  • Experience in modular design and manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, including CE marking.
  • Customer-oriented with a high level of commercial awareness.
  • Knowledge of requirements management and configuration/change management.
  • Preferably experienced in HVAC design and bespoke mechanical equipment for Nuclear applications.
  • Proficient in tendering and project lifecycle delivery.
  • Familiarity with RIBA standards.
