Desired Experience: 1-4 years

Section(s) CN: Condensed Matter Physics: Structure and Dynamics

Job Description:

The postdoctoral researcher will conduct experiments in ultrafast 2D spectroscopy, transient absorption, and fluorescence in the visible and near-infrared (IR) ranges on prototypes of solar cells, testing new materials, such as merocyanines as near-IR dyes, and solid-state electrolytes. The researcher will contribute to the optimization of the 2DES setup and adapt our data analysis tools (Python) to 2D spectroscopy. The results will be published in top-tier scientific journals. The postdoctoral researcher will co-supervise a PhD project on the same topic and contribute to the supervision of master's and undergraduate students, the organization of the ultrafast spectroscopy facilities, and fundraising.

Requirements:

The candidate must hold a doctoral degree in physics or physical chemistry and have a solid experience in ultrafast spectroscopy and nonlinear optics. Additional qualifications, such as supervising master's students and mastering Python and/or Matlab, are an asset.

Work Context:

The project is part of the TRANSITION consortium, which aims to explore transparent solar cells. The postdoctoral researcher will work in the BIODYN team at the Institute of Physics and Chemistry of Materials of Strasbourg, which has been studying DSSCs in the near-IR for over five years. The team is led by J. Léonard and S. Haacke.

Constraints and Risks:

Laser safety risks and minor chemical risks (handling solvents)

Additional Information:

Funded by the ANR TRANSITION project (2023-2026)
