Job Summary
VIG Re is seeking a highly skilled Senior Pricing Actuary to join our Corporate Underwriting Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for modeling incoming reinsurance contracts, conducting targeted portfolio analysis, and developing and maintaining state-of-the-art pricing methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Pricing and Stochastic Modelling: Collaborate with the non-life underwriting team to price and model complex reinsurance contracts.
- Pricing Landscape Development: Develop and continuously enhance our non-life pricing landscape, including methods, models, parameters, and tools.
- Capital Model Parametrization: Contribute to the parametrization of the VIG Re capital model.
- Knowledge Sharing and Mentoring: Share knowledge with internal stakeholders and mentor junior actuaries.
- Portfolio Analysis and Insights: Conduct portfolio analysis and generate insights to inform business decisions.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in a non-life (re)insurance pricing position, with at least 5 years of experience in pricing Motor or General Liability reinsurance treaties.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the local insurance market, including annuities practices.
- Education: University degree in financial mathematics, statistics, or a similar field.
- Skills: Solid sense of accountability, proactive mindset, and fluency in English and French.
- Advantage: VBA or Python skills.
