Safety Validation Engineer

Position Overview:
In the context of advancing electric vehicle battery technologies, you will work closely with the Environmental and Safety Testing Laboratory Manager to execute assessments in accordance with established protocols, managing both internal and external testing operations.
- Evaluate requirements, customer specifications, and industry regulations to ensure compliance in testing methodologies.
- Develop testing protocols for validation assessments on battery cells, modules, or components.
- Coordinate testing initiatives with clear objectives, capabilities, and adherence to customer guidelines.
- Establish testing setups that reflect customer needs and expert recommendations.
- Contribute to the strategy for Abuse Safety testing and assess the budgetary requirements for safety evaluations.
Ensure that testing procedures are consistent with specifications, oversee the analysis of test outcomes, and provide constructive feedback to the team.
- Facilitate collaboration with Test Technicians and manage activities with external laboratories.
- Disseminate best practices within the testing team.
- Maintain and update Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reports in line with organizational processes.
Qualifications:
- Proficient knowledge in Electrical, Physical Measurement, and Environmental/Mechanical testing.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in testing within the industrial or automotive sectors.
- A Master's degree or Engineering degree in Electrical or Physical Measurement is required.
Essential Attributes:
Experience with Lithium-Ion batteries, Verification and Validation (V&V) activities, test configurations, power electronics, and safety protocols.
Additional competencies in Matlab Simulink, programming, organizational skills, and effective communication are advantageous.
