About the Role

Criteo is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our data governance efforts, ensuring the highest standards of data security and privacy across our operations. As the Head of Data Governance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data governance architecture, collaborating with legal experts, and engaging with regulators to establish Criteo as a thought leader in data governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement robust data security and privacy architecture, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate security and privacy measures into our products and services.
  • Provide insights and guidance on regulatory requirements and industry best practices to inform policy development.
  • Represent Criteo in policy discussions and advocate for regulatory frameworks that support innovation while safeguarding user privacy and data protection.
  • Develop and deliver training programs and materials to internal teams, clients, and partners to promote understanding and compliance with data governance policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Product Management, Computer Science, Law, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in a senior leadership role overseeing data governance, privacy, or security initiatives within the ad tech or digital advertising industry.
  • Fluent English speaker, French is an advantage.
  • Expert knowledge of global data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry standards (e.g., IAB frameworks).
  • Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements and business objectives into actionable plans and initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with internal and external partners at all levels.
