ABOUT OUR QA TEAM
Our Quality Assurance team is pivotal in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our platform while alleviating the workload for our engineering teams. The current mission is to serve as quality gatekeepers for our products and services, continuously refining our processes and tools to deliver exceptional value to our clients.
The QA community consists of 20 seasoned professionals integrated within each Tribe and Feature Team or working within the QA Automation team.
Responsibilities of QA Engineers in Feature Teams:
- Collaborate closely with a Product Owner, Scrum Master, and various Front/Back-end developers.
- Identify the testing scope prior to development (shift left, 3 Amigos).
- Formulate the Test Strategy and Test Plan for their team.
- Execute tests, document defects, and ensure their resolution.
- Automate test scenarios and maintain their relevance with platform updates.
- Actively engage in the QA community at both Tribe and Program levels.
Our testing framework utilizes Jira X-Ray for manual scenario creation and execution, integrated with IntelliJ for automated testing. Tests are executed in Lambda Test, with results documented in Jira. API testing is conducted using Postman, and log analysis is performed in Datadog.
Responsibilities of the QA Automation Team:
- Develop and enhance the automation framework.
- Refine the framework based on feedback from the Tribes.
- Equip QA Engineers with the necessary tools for scenario automation.
- Define performance scenarios in collaboration with business stakeholders.
- Implement and execute performance tests.
- Participate actively in the QA community at the Program level.
Our automation stack includes Selenium for web testing, Appium for mobile testing, and RestAssured for API testing, with functions coded in Java. For performance testing, we utilize Gatling with scenarios coded in Java.
As a Senior QA Engineer, your role will encompass:
- Collaborating with Product Owners, Product Managers, and Developers to identify and automate testing scenarios.
- Defining the automation roadmap with a risk-oriented perspective.
- Establishing Test Strategies and coordinating testing efforts for complex projects involving multiple teams.
- Acting as a quality gatekeeper to ensure the security and reliability of our platform, highlighting risks during Go/No-Go discussions.
- Engaging in transversal QA activities and providing support to fellow QA Engineers within the program.
Effective communication and collaboration are essential as we tackle complex technical challenges with a positive attitude.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 5-8 years of experience in software testing and QA, with a solid grasp of Agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in both automation and manual testing techniques, including experience with Selenium, Appium, and RestAssured.
- Familiarity with test case management tools such as Jira Xray, TestRail, or TestLink.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams with a diverse technological background.
- Relevant certifications in software testing, such as ISTQB.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote or multicultural setting.
