Role and Responsibilities


  • Conduct in-depth analysis and treatment of legal issues related to financial markets, including market abuse, listed companies' disclosure obligations, public takeover bids, and market operator supervision
  • Contribute to market abuse investigations and draft related investigation reports
  • Process international cooperation files
  • Review and analyze suspicious order and transaction declarations
  • Contribute to the development of regulatory frameworks for financial markets


Requirements


  • Master's degree in law, preferably in financial law or business law
  • The Luxembourg law certification is an asset
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the financial sector, preferably in financial markets
  • Confirmed professional experience in a law firm or in a compliance or internal audit function is considered an asset
  • Fluency in written and spoken French and English. Knowledge of German and Luxembourgish is an asset
  • Good knowledge of financial sector legislation and regulation
  • Critical thinking, excellent writing, analysis, and synthesis skills
  • Rigour, discretion, and organizational skills
  • Team player with autonomous working capabilities


The selected candidate will be employed by the State under an open-ended contract. If the candidate meets the current requirements, they will be required to take the civil servant examination at a later stage.


Before signing the employment contract, the candidate must provide a copy of their criminal record (bulletin n°3), dated less than 2 months ago, to ensure their good reputation.
