Director of Engineering Projects

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Engineering Projects to lead our engineering projects and teams. The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering, project management, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee multiple concurrent engineering projects and processes.
- Influence the development and execution of functional strategy and operational direction.
- Manage large teams of managers and senior professionals.
- Review and approve project proposals and process enhancements or changes.
- Responsible for the implementation and execution of projects, ensuring they are on-time and within budget.
- Provide project status reports for senior management.
- Manage and monitor annual project budget.
- Participate in planning sessions for capital expense, operational improvements, and strategic growth.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to achieve organizational goals.
- Stay current on engineering trends in developing technologies and practices.
- Typically possesses Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 12+ years of experience.
- Possesses thorough knowledge of engineering, including industrial instrumentation, electrical systems, manufacturing processes, chemical concepts, and lean manufacturing concepts.
- Demonstrates excellent leadership and managerial skills.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication, computer, planning, and project management skills.
- Possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong technical acumen and understanding of financial concepts (cost analysis, budgets).
- Demonstrates professionalism, diplomacy, and the ability to bring about agreement between colleagues in sensitive situations while maintaining positive relationships.
- Proficiency in relevant Engineering software (e.g. CAD).
- PMP, CAPM, or comparable project management certification desired.
