Overview: The Global Pricing division plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the pricing functions across SCOR L&H macro-markets, as well as providing essential support to group functions like Finance, particularly concerning internal retrocession operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in business acceptance decisions for complex pricing cases, particularly those involving Protection, Longevity, or Financial Solutions.
- Provide expert guidance to local pricing teams on various technical matters.
- Support the review of internal retrocession pricing, focusing on fairness in pricing assumptions and methodologies.
- Collaborate with local teams to ensure that core pricing assumptions and guidelines are suitable for pricing exercises.
- Contribute to the enhancement of pricing tool infrastructure, particularly through the transition from Excel to Python-based solutions.
- Maintain and develop pricing tools used across territories, ensuring their effectiveness and relevance.
- Promote operational risk standards within the Life pricing function through tool development and adherence to guidelines.
Specific Duties:
- Formulate official opinions on referred pricing cases in collaboration with Underwriting Risk Management.
- Optimize the Global Referral process in coordination with relevant teams.
- Develop Python tools to streamline pricing tool implementation across the organization.
- Support local teams in the development of specific pricing tools using the new platform.
- Assist in the transition of existing Excel tools to new Python-based solutions.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience as a pricing actuary, with international exposure being advantageous.
- Proficient in model development and Python programming.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong collaborative skills and a proven ability to work in a global context.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in the field.
Competencies:
- Open-minded and adaptable.
- Results-driven with a focus on achieving objectives.
- Organized, autonomous, and detail-oriented.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in complex environments.
Education:
- Current actuarial qualification and certification, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Python, either through study or practical application.
