Job Summary

The Food Production Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production department, ensuring that all meal orders are filled accurately and on time, and maintaining high-quality standards. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the work of production team members, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve production efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with the production manager to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure that production processes are meeting quality and safety standards.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of production team members.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring that all necessary materials are available to meet production demands.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as food science, hospitality, or business administration.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a production or management role, preferably in the food industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and supply chain.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of production team members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field, such as food science, hospitality, or business administration.
  • Experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in the food industry.
  • Certification in a related field, such as food safety or quality assurance.
