Senior Server and Networks Engineer

At Uni Systems, we are committed to turning digital visions into reality. Our team is continuously growing, and we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our UniQue team in Strasbourg, France.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain data network configurations
  • Construct and test network software and hardware
  • Perform troubleshooting of network problems using network analyzers and/or sniffers
  • Develop and maintain network-related documentation and technical specifications
  • Configure and implement network monitoring and management systems
  • Implement and monitor network security
  • Plan network capacity and estimate network utilization
  • Analyze current network software and propose modifications and new software according to best practice standards and procedures
  • Perform log file analysis, analysis of traces, and dumps
  • Engage with vendors offering network-related services and equipment
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum 9 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in DNS and IP administration, LAN protocols, TCP/IP, WAN network topologies, and network management tools
  • At least one of the following certifications is considered an advantage: Network (Cisco Certified Network Professional/CCNP or equivalent), IT Service Management/ITSM qualifications (IT Infrastructure Library/ITIL-ITILV3ISO/IEC 20000 or equivalent)
  • Advanced knowledge of network configurations, expertise in network configurations, and extensive proficiency in Internet-Protocol based Local and Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN) administration
  • In-depth familiarity of Fortinet Firewall/VPN/load balancer configuration and troubleshooting
  • Ability to perform network capacity planning, very good knowledge of network security, and monitoring and management of network security devices
  • Comprehensive expertise of encryption at network layer and encryption protocols
  • Expert understanding of the concepts related to load balancing, firewalls, switches (L2/L3), redundancy, IP addressing
  • Ability to understand/write/update/review documentation and technical specifications related to network infrastructures
  • Expertise in network design, network capacity planning, network evolutions, network monitoring
  • Proficiency in English language at C1 level
