Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF). As a postdoctoral researcher, you will play a key role in the development of an innovative multi-scale full-field microscope, contributing to a new era of scientific exploration.

Responsibilities
  • Develop experimental and data analysis protocols for pink beam DFXM, leveraging the unique capabilities of the ID03 beamline.
  • Integrate coarser grain mapping methods such as 3DXRD with DFXM.
  • Acquire data to advance our understanding of deformation and recrystallization in metals.
  • Develop and implement algorithms for high-dimensional experimental data.
Requirements
  • PhD degree in physics, materials science, or a related field, obtained within the last 3 years.
  • Strong experience in programming and experimental X-ray techniques.
  • Demonstrated interest in hardware and software development.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and facility users.
  • Proficiency in English.
