Position Title: Lead Product Strategist - Hospitality Solutions

Business Overview

Role Objective

As a Lead Product Strategist at Amadeus, you will guide and mentor a team focused on the advancement and innovation of the Amadeus Central Reservation System platform. Your responsibilities will include formulating and implementing the product strategy, championing product investment initiatives, and delivering solutions centered around customer needs to facilitate the growth of our community product offerings. You will work collaboratively across departments to define and execute product improvements, manage the product development lifecycle, and ensure alignment with overarching business goals.

Main Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

Product Strategy & Roadmap Development

  • Articulate and implement the product vision and strategy, transforming it into a detailed product roadmap.
  • Gather and prioritize requirements from stakeholders and clients to drive ongoing business impact.
  • Conduct market research to inform product features and enhance user satisfaction.

Product Development Oversight

  • Supervise the creation of business requirements for product development, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to drive technical initiatives and prioritize features effectively.
  • Communicate the product vision clearly and ensure alignment with development efforts.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and inspire a global team of product managers, providing direction and motivation.
  • Foster a cohesive product management organization, focusing on shared objectives and daily execution.

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Collect and prioritize market and customer requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Work closely with solution and R&D teams to achieve business case goals.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Relevant Experience:
    • 5-10 years of experience in a multinational management or product role, with a focus on product management and the travel/hospitality sector.
    • Experience in team leadership and product management.
    • Proven track record in defining and launching products that meet and exceed business goals.
  • Industry Knowledge:
    • In-depth understanding of the hospitality sector, including providers, travel agencies, technology, trends, and strategies.
    • Strong knowledge of hotel distribution systems, including Central Reservation Systems and Property Management Systems.
  • Professional proficiency in English is essential.
