About Our Organization

De Lage Landen is in search of a seasoned Financial Business Partner who will take charge of implementing and advising on financial and operational planning and oversight, while also serving as a subject matter expert to support the business. This role is crucial for enabling management to steer the organization effectively and efficiently, continuously enhancing outcomes.

Role Overview

The Financial Business Partner will be integrated into the business controlling team and will oversee the creation of various reports and analyses. This position will also involve managing one Business Controller. It is ideally suited for an experienced professional with several years in a finance-related role, seeking the next step in their career within a highly international and successful organization. The Financial Business Partner will report directly to the Country Finance Manager.

Location: Paris – La Défense

Key Responsibilities

About the Role

  • Strategic Business Planning: Contribute to the formulation of the business strategy and/or planning at the country level from a financial perspective, ensuring local alignment and advising management on challenges and opportunities;
  • Financial Planning & Control Cycle: Organize, coordinate, and execute the financial planning and control cycle at the country level, providing guidance to management on forecasting, budgeting, and strategy implementation;
  • Business Oversight: Develop and uphold business controls in accordance with DLL's In Control Framework, proactively monitoring, analyzing, and challenging business performance on a monthly basis;
  • Financial Guidance: Offer advice, monitor, and support the business as a subject matter expert on financial matters and management KPIs, educating key stakeholders on risk-based pricing and collaborating with Sales managers on pricing authorization and policies;
  • Reporting: Ensure the development, preparation, and proper execution of consolidated periodic and ad hoc reports for business management and external supervisory authorities;
  • Project Participation: Engage in local and/or regional improvement projects aimed at implementing new financial systems, procedures, and processes.
Candidate Profile

About You

  • Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or controlling;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance organization in a business or financial control capacity;
  • Proficient knowledge of accounting, local statutory requirements, and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
  • Advanced MS-Excel skills with the ability to create and execute analyses;
  • Strong analytical skills with the capability to identify, frame, and resolve business issues;
  • Excellent influencing skills, initiative, assertiveness, and decisiveness;
  • Empathetic with strong relationship-building abilities;
  • Proficient in French, with a good command of English (both spoken and written).
