We are developing a cutting-edge low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite system, characterized by innovative antenna designs and sustainable spacecraft technology. Our goal is to enhance global satellite coverage and connectivity, providing a robust IoT platform that empowers users to gather and act on information from anywhere.

Role Overview: As a Senior Embedded Software Architect, you will be instrumental in defining the technical framework and architecture of our satellite communication systems. This pivotal role ensures that our software solutions are not only scalable and resilient but also aligned with our strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the architectural design of sophisticated embedded software systems across a distributed SoC architecture (CPU, DSP, FPGA, ASICs), ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and technical standards.
  2. Design and develop communication protocols for intra and inter-processor interactions.
  3. Drive the creation of optimized software solutions that align with the company’s roadmap.
  4. Implement an L1/L2 virtualization framework, orchestrating multiple processes effectively.
  5. Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to establish software requirements and develop architectural blueprints.
  6. Evaluate and select suitable technologies, tools, and frameworks to fulfill project requirements.
  7. Oversee the implementation of software architectures, providing mentorship and guidance to development teams.
  8. Conduct architectural reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  9. Identify and mitigate technical risks and challenges, ensuring the delivery of scalable and maintainable software solutions.
  10. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements, integrating new technologies and methodologies as necessary.
  11. Document architectural designs and decisions, ensuring clear communication across teams.
  12. Mentor team members and provide relevant training as needed.
  13. Define and document software processes, ensuring alignment with organizational standards.
  14. Perform any additional duties as required to support departmental objectives.

Qualifications:

  1. A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, with extensive experience in software architecture and design.
  2. Proven experience in delivering high-performance and reliable software, particularly in safety-critical applications.
  3. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., git) and continuous integration testing (e.g., Jenkins).
  4. A strong track record in designing and implementing large-scale, complex software systems.
  5. Experience with ARM Cortex A/M/R, PowerPC e200, and DSP series processors.
  6. Knowledge of various virtualization hypervisors.
  7. Solid understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
  8. Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks (C/C++, Python, RTOS), as well as Linux OS and Yocto.
  9. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for innovative solutions and effective debugging techniques.
  10. Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams.
  11. Ability to support hardware design during product development.
  12. Experience in mentoring and guiding development teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  13. A proactive mindset, committed to driving technological excellence and innovation.
  14. At least 7 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
  15. A willingness to pursue further training as needed.
