Job Title: Embedded Software Project Leader

This role is responsible for leading software projects from conception to delivery, ensuring they meet performance, quality, cost, and lead time constraints. The successful candidate will work closely with developers, software architects, and technology group leaders to develop and maintain the final product solution.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Define project timelines, distribute tasks, and ensure project targets are met.
  • Manage all software development steps, following the V cycle or agile methodology, in line with department quality processes.
  • Coordinate project software teams and ensure the integration of software components.
  • Responsible for ensuring milestones, deliverables quality, and software development budget.
  • Report project progress through discipline KPIs.
  • Interface and maintain technical relationships with customers.
  • Involved in software specification development and architectural alternatives decision-making.
  • May be involved in software code implementation, design, code reviews, static and dynamic unit tests, and integration tests.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering and embedded software development or similar.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in embedded real-time software development for electronic control units.
  • 3 years of experience in developing low-level embedded software with real-time constraints.
  • 3 years of experience as an Embedded Software Project Leader.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience in software project management, ensuring delivery dates, development efforts, and software quality.
  • Experience with functional team leads.
  • C language, with embedded and real-time constraints.
  • 32-bit microcontroller architecture development of low-level software (BSP -> Microcontroller / HW drivers, preemptive OS environment).
  • Embedded real-time software development, with constraints related to interruption, CPU load, and limited microcontroller resources.
  • Experience with process-constrained development, integrating configuration management, change management, traceability management, design rules, quality gates.
  • Knowledge of configuration/change/requirement management tools such as GIT, SVN, JIRA, Doors, Reqtify.
  • Ability to reach electrical schematics and component datasheets.
