Through rigorous analysis and data collection, the WIL sheds light on disparities across nations and within societies. The lab maintains the World Inequality Database (WID), a comprehensive public resource for researchers and policymakers worldwide.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to support our ongoing work on gender inequality. You will collaborate with the Gender Inequality Coordinator, contributing to data analysis, research development, and project management within this impactful field.
Responsibilities
- Assist in analyzing survey data from diverse countries, focusing on gender-related economic indicators.
- Identify and source additional data sources to enhance the scope of our research.
- Contribute to the methodological development of projects related to gender inequality.
- Collaborate effectively with researchers and contribute to a positive team environment.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in an economics program, demonstrating a strong interest in global inequalities and gender economics.
- Proficiency in statistical software such as Stata (experience with other programming languages is beneficial).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when managing complex datasets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
