What you will do:

As a Liabilities Manager, you will be responsible for managing product management processes and risks relating to liquidity products across Europe. You will also manage the deposit pricing governance process and actively manage the deposit portfolio, liaising with the Group Treasury/Market Treasury teams on all treasury-related pricing topics.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage product management processes and risks relating to liquidity products across Europe.
  • Manage the deposit pricing governance process and actively manage the deposit portfolio.
  • Lead Liabilities Management tasks, with a special focus on profitability, revenue growth, and pricing across all currencies supported in the region.
  • Train front-line teams on liquidity product pricing initiatives and respond to deposit pricing queries from Sales and Coverage teams across Europe.
  • Be responsible for managing various aspects of the Europe Balance Sheet, including balances, NII, Betas, and portfolio composition.
  • Provide global guidance through monthly balance forecasting and annual planning cycles.
  • Lead and represent GPS in Europe Liquidity and Liquidity Risk forums to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness of Liability management reviews and processes.
  • Be the key GPS Liquidity liaison with internal stakeholders, including Treasury, Finance, ALCO, and Regions.
  • Prepare periodic reporting and analysis on deposits trends and pricing for GPS, business line, and ALCO forums.
  • Lead business cases to the Liquidity Task Force analytics team for prioritization at the GPS Data & Analytics forums.
  • A leading partner in defining new solutions, identifying new opportunities, and commercializing all aspects of our deposit management strategies.

  • Commercial outlook – able to connect numbers, performance drivers, and 'real-world' events with an ability to solve ambiguous or complex problems.
  • Experience in liability management and liquidity risk is desirable or at least experience in cash management.
  • Able to demonstrate effective leadership skills and experience of operating within larger cross-functional organizations.
