About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced individual to join our Global Payment Solutions (GPS) team in the role of Liabilities Manager, Liquidity. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing product management processes and risks related to liquidity products across Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage deposit pricing governance process (LDDC) across Europe and actively manage the deposit portfolio.
- Lead Liabilities Management tasks, focusing on profitability, revenue growth, and pricing across all currencies supported in the region.
- Train front-line teams on liquidity product pricing initiatives and respond to deposit pricing queries from Sales and Coverage teams.
- Manage various aspects of the Europe Balance Sheet, including balances, NII, betas, and portfolio composition.
- Represent GPS in Europe Liquidity and Liquidity Risk forums to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness of Liability management reviews and processes.
- Interface with internal stakeholders, including Treasury, Finance, ALCO, and Regions, to drive business outcomes.
- Prepare periodic reporting and analysis on deposits trends and pricing for GPS, business line, and ALCO forums.
- Lead business cases to the Liquidity Task Force analytics team for prioritization at the GPS Data & Analytics forums.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical skills with data storytelling and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze complex issues and identify strategic implications for the Bank and its customers.
- Leadership and motivation skills to ensure delivery of objectives in a timely and efficient manner.
- Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills.
- Ambitious, self-driven, and highly motivated individual with a deep desire to excel and develop a career within HSBC.
- Commercial outlook and ability to connect numbers, performance drivers, and real-world events.
- Experience in liability management and liquidity risk is desirable or at least experience in cash management.
- Effective leadership skills and experience of operating within larger cross-functional organizations.
- Expert knowledge of MS Office systems, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
