Role Overview:
We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Network Connectivity Architect to join our team, focused on enhancing user connectivity through LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and SD-WAN technologies. This position is critical for driving the evolution of network solutions and ensuring robust, secure, and efficient connectivity across the organization.
Scope:
- Define, promote, and deliver sustainable network solutions that align with corporate strategies and provide business value.
- Collaborate closely with Group Security, the CTO to propose cost-effective solutions.
- Support the continuous improvement and medium to long-term evolution of network products and services.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design of SD-WAN solutions and ensure standardization across various Managed Services.
- Develop and implement standards for wireless and wired network infrastructure to support onsite users.
- Oversee projects related to wireless technologies, ensuring they meet quality of service (QoS) delivery standards.
- Facilitate communication between functional groups, IT services, strategic partners, and vendors to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Provide high-level expertise on network products and services to ensure effective implementation and management.
Core Activities:
- Design and implement SD-WAN solutions to meet new scope requirements and ensure standardization across managed services.
- Create and manage standards for LAN and WAN infrastructure to enhance connectivity for onsite users.
- Lead projects focused on wireless technology advancements and implementations.
Technical knowledge/experience required:
- LAN/SD-LAN (Cisco): Extensive experience in designing and managing LAN and SD-LAN solutions using Cisco technologies.
- Wi-Fi (Cisco): Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco Wi-Fi solutions.
- WAN Technologies: Proficiency in dynamic routing protocols including OSPF and BGP.
- SD-WAN Solutions: Experience with SD-WAN technologies from various vendors, with a focus on integration with existing network infrastructure.
- Security Solutions: Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
Examples of Projects:
- Implementation and management of Cisco Catalyst solutions.
- Deployment and management of wireless networks using Cisco technologies.
- Implementation and management of Cisco DNA and other network management tools.
- Deployment and management of Cisco Viptela SD-WAN solutions.
- Implementation and management of Cisco Meraki systems.
- Management of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for network access control.
- Implementation and management of VMware VeloCloud solutions.
- Deployment and management of Cisco ASA firewalls.
- Management of various LAN, wireless, and SD-WAN solutions
