Purpose of the RoleThe ERP and Back-Office Applications Supervisor plays a pivotal technical and organizational role within the Platforms and Solutions department. This individual is tasked with ensuring that our ERP system and low-code/no-code solutions are in harmony with our business objectives.
This role involves engaging with stakeholders to pinpoint needs, challenges, and opportunities, leading functional analyses, exploring options, and facilitating decision-making processes regarding market solutions, internal developments, and hybrid solutions.
The supervisor is responsible for the design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, documentation, and evolution of our solution portfolio, ensuring alignment with the requirements of our organization and end-users, as well as adherence to industry standards.
Under the guidance of the Head of Platforms & Solutions, this role will oversee a team comprising an ERP Business Analyst, an Internal Solutions Analyst, and a BI Specialist, while collaborating closely with other company resources to ensure optimal integration of solutions within the company ecosystem.
Additionally, the supervisor will manage external providers and specialized resources necessary for our solution portfolio.
A primary focus will be the deployment of a new ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central).
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and enhance ERP and back-office applications:
- Lead the implementation and configuration of ERP systems to fulfill business requirements.
- Design and implement integrations between ERP systems and other business applications.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and documentation for the ERP system.
- Oversee user training and support to ensure effective utilization of ERP systems.
- Ensure a seamless transition from project phase to ongoing support post-implementation.
- Manage vendors and editors to guarantee timely and quality service delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process enhancements.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Stay informed about ERP trends and best practices to recommend system improvements.
- Manage relationships with ERP vendors and technology partners.
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders across the company to define requirements, scope, and objectives of internal solutions, aligning them with strategic goals.
- Design and develop innovative approaches that address business needs.
- Manage the project lifecycle of internal solutions, from planning and budgeting to testing, deployment, evaluation, and feedback.
- Ensure that internal solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards and user expectations.
- Oversee the roadmap for the evolution of internal solutions.
- Monitor and assess the performance and impact of internal solutions, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
Technical Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in ERP projects with a proven track record in a management role for a full ERP deployment in a mid-sized company. Experience with MS Dynamics 365 implementation is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical skills and expertise in process design and functional specifications.
- Project management skills, including Agile/Scrum and waterfall methodologies.
- Proficient in various technologies and tools, such as MS Power Platform, Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Azure, SQL, etc.
- Familiarity with Low/No code approaches.
