Job Title: Senior ICT Policy and Regulatory Expert

NTU International A/S is seeking a highly skilled Senior ICT Policy and Regulatory Expert to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance to support the African Union Commission (AUC) in accelerating the implementation of the Digital Transformation Strategy for Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance to the AUC to support the implementation of the Digital Transformation Strategy for Africa.
  • Develop and implement digital market-related policies, legislations, and regulations.
  • Work with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and international organizations to promote harmonization of digital policy, legal, and regulatory frameworks in Africa.
  • Conduct research and analysis on digital landscape and regulatory implications of ICT and digital markets.
  • Develop effective solutions to challenges in regulating the digital landscape.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field such as law, LLM in ICT & Telecommunication Laws, or relevant discipline.
  • Advanced level English or French (at least C1) is required, and proficiency in other official languages of the AU is an asset.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in ICT policy and regulation and digital markets.
  • Experience working with government agencies, regulatory bodies, or international organizations related to ICT.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the development and implementation of digital market-related policies, legislations, and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Africa digital landscape and AU context, including DTS, Continental Harmonisation Strategy, and AfCFTA.
  • Experience in project management, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
