Job Summary: As the Procurement Lead for Logistics and Supply Chain, you will take charge of the acquisition of logistics services, ensuring optimal value and performance. This position requires strategic insight, outstanding negotiation capabilities, and a comprehensive understanding of the supply chain industry. You will cultivate supplier relationships, refine procurement processes, and play a vital role in enhancing our operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement procurement strategies for logistics services that align with organizational objectives.
  • Identify, assess, and select suppliers, conducting evaluations and fostering robust partnerships.
  • Negotiate agreements, terms, and conditions to secure cost-effective and high-quality logistics services.
  • Oversee supplier performance, ensuring adherence to contracts and addressing any challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (logistics, operations, finance) to synchronize procurement efforts with business goals.
  • Analyze market dynamics and industry trends to uncover opportunities for cost reduction and risk management.
  • Prepare and deliver procurement reports, forecasts, and budgets to executive leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and ethical standards in procurement practices.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of procurement specialists, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is advantageous.
  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement, particularly in logistics and supply chain.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Fluent in both French and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of the logistics and supply chain industry is highly desirable.
