This position is located in Lyon
Responsible for overseeing a new segment within an Accounts Payable Shared Services Centre division and report to SSC

Accounts Payable Leadership:
Direct the key Accounts Payable functions, which are heavily transaction-focused, and play a significant role in managing vendor partnerships.
Approximately 100,000 invoices processed annually
Purchasing Turnover around 2 billion euros
Direct Management: 5 to 8 team members depending on the area + Temporary staff.
Can spearhead special initiatives for continuous enhancement and optimization of accounts payable processes and functions

KEY ACTIVITIES
Involvement in a new perimeter deployment initiative:
Actively engage in the international expansion of the SSC.
Collaborate with the project team to ensure a seamless transition of accounting operations.
Participate in the recruitment of accountants dedicated to the scope.
Plan and coordinate transition phases in collaboration with stakeholders.

AP Accounting Process Oversight:
Supervise the processing of invoices and credit notes within the designated area.
Ensure adherence to accounting and tax regulations.
Guarantee the accuracy of financial records and compliance with legal and applicable standards.

Process Optimization:
Ensure that procedures are established and documented.
Identify opportunities for process enhancements and increased efficiencies.

Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with the AP SSC team leader and Business Process Improvement group.


Monitoring and Reporting:
Measure, track, and report performance metrics.
Contribute to the preparation of activity reports for the scope.
Monitor Key Performance Indicators and recommend corrective actions.
Interaction with external and internal stakeholders:

Ensure that internal customer requirements are met; provide operational information to internal customers that is both meaningful and actionable.

Manage relationships with suppliers to resolve disputes and various issues.

Collaborate with purchasing, finance, and other departments to ensure an optimized Purchase to Pay (PTP) process and efficient supplier management.


Team Management and Supervision:
Lead and manage a team of AP Accountants.
Ensure training and skills development for team members.
Evaluate individual and collective performance and conduct annual performance assessments.

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
Role based in Lyon, with potential for commuting and business trips.

Functions are process-oriented, and internal controls must be adhered to in order to ensure timely and accurate vendor payments.

Maintain procure to pay processes to ensure accurate and timely payments.
Functions are service-oriented, supporting all sites and business units across the organization.
Effective communication with vendors is essential.
Required Profile

Level:
Master's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required (Bac+4/5)
~5+ years' experience in Accounting/Finance, preferably in a processing function within a manufacturing environment.
~ Strong understanding of IT processes/systems, preferably in an SAP environment.
~ Proven ability to supervise/manage personnel and influence others within the organization.
~ Good knowledge of internal control requirements.
~ Experience in leading cross-functional teams and projects.
~ Strong process improvement orientation/skill set.
~ Demonstrated communication and customer service skills.
~ Proven ability to interact with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
~ Initial experience in SSC environment is a plus.
~ Professional proficiency in English is mandatory. Fluent English would be a strong asset.
