Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost and Insights Engineer to join our team at A2Mac1. As a key member of our Electronics systems subdomain, you will play a crucial role in managing and executing cost studies and analyses, focusing on various manufacturing processes and product knowledge in the automotive sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute cost studies, ensuring quality and adherence to deadlines.
- Analyse input data, identify materials and manufacturing processes, and cost them using internal tools and methodologies.
- Understand and explain product operation at various levels (system, subsystem, component, function).
- Identify and recommend ways to optimize the cost of vehicle features or systems.
- Conduct cost/performance benchmarking and value analysis studies.
- Write and present study reports according to required quality standards.
Project Management
Participate in all aspects of the project development life cycle, including planning, requirements, development, and testing.
Customer Interaction
Interact with customers during delivery and hand-over sessions to ensure satisfaction.
Team Support
Support team members as and when necessary.
Requirements
- Min. 5-8 years of relevant experience as Senior Cost Engineer.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Knowledge of automobile and auto-parts.
Skills and Abilities
- Deep knowledge & expertise in at least 3-4 manufacturing processes such as PCB manufacturing, PCBA production, Final assembly, optical modules, wire harness manufacturing or other key technologies.
- Extended system knowledge in Electronics, such as ADAS, Infotainment, Body electronics, Harness.
- Proficiency in costing methodologies (Zero-Based Costing, Should Costing, Bottom-up costing, Directional costing methods, Design to Cost).
- Excellent analytical, synthesis, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills for internal and external interactions.
- Effective and clear cross-cultural communication.
- Fluent in written and spoken English (minimum B2 level).
