The St. François de Sales MECS
Our Accompanied Housing Center in Marseille, the St. François de Sales MECS, provides a safe and supportive environment for approximately 250 young people daily. We offer various accommodation and support structures to assist them in their integration and personal growth.
Maintenance Technician Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at the St. François de Sales MECS. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation and well-being of our residents by performing essential maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting across various technical disciplines, including basic electrical work, painting, plumbing, and heating systems.
- Adhere to the recommendations of relevant regulatory bodies and industry standards.
- Effectively diagnose and repair installations by replacing faulty components or implementing necessary repairs.
- Contribute to new construction projects by installing, modifying, and ensuring compliance with building codes.
- Prepare purchase orders for required materials and tools, obtaining necessary approvals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar maintenance role within a residential or institutional setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to respond effectively to urgent situations and maintain composure under pressure.
- A genuine commitment to supporting young people facing challenges and a deep understanding of their developmental needs.
