Your Future Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Indirect Tax Manager to join our team in Saint-Ouen, France. As a key member of our Finance department, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on indirect taxation matters and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic guidance on indirect tax implications of business transactions and ensure optimal VAT efficiency in public tenders and contract execution.
- Monitor and analyze indirect tax implications of transactions within the Alstom Group, identifying potential areas of risk or non-compliance.
- Conduct regular VAT audits to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for VAT savings and optimization.
- Actively pursue negotiations with tax authorities, advise on tax rulings & agreements, and identify opportunities for VAT recovery, exemptions, and special schemes.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or a related field, with 7 to 10 years of experience in the field.
- Knowledge of local and international VAT legislation and compliance requirements.
- Strong strategic thinking to develop and implement VAT compliance strategies.
- Proven ability to analyze contracts and business transactions for tax implications.
- Negotiation skills to liaise effectively with tax authorities and external advisors.
- Capacity to lead VAT training programs and drive knowledge sharing within the organization.
