In the realm of Innovation Management, we oversee a designated portfolio of projects and guide a cross-functional team in the development and execution of Coty's innovative initiatives from conception to launch. Our team acts as the 'orchestra conductor,' fostering collaboration in defining and implementing the project plan alongside colleagues in Global Marketing, Artwork, Supply, Finance, Procurement, and R&D, leveraging their expertise in Innovation systems and processes to achieve remarkable project outcomes.

The Giftset Initiative Manager (GIM) is accountable for a specific portfolio of projects and influences the efforts of a multi-disciplinary team that collaboratively develops and executes initiatives within the framework of an Initiative Masterplan (IMP) from concept to launch. The Global Initiative Manager serves as the 'orchestra conductor,' driving collaboration in defining and executing the project plan (Critical Path Schedule) with partners in Marketing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Artwork, and R&D, while applying their expertise in Innovation systems and processes to deliver exceptional project results.

The Global Initiative Manager is the definitive source for project 360 readiness (commercial, financial, technical) and ensures that risks and issues are proactively identified and addressed through their facilitation of the cross-functional project team and adherence to technical and commercial qualification activities. They work closely with Site Initiative Leaders in Supply, who manage the product execution project plan once designs are finalized, while the Global Initiative Manager retains accountability throughout the entire innovation process.

The Global Initiative Manager operates through influence to guide and mentor teams through the stage gate process and the appropriate application of tools and techniques owned by the Initiative Management Team.

YOUR MAIN FOCUS:

As our Giftsets Initiative Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Overseeing your portfolio of projects by developing a project plan (CPS) and uniting the cross-functional team to collaboratively and proactively advance the agreed-upon work.
  2. Coordinating the assessment of an initiative's readiness, closely collaborating with Marketing, R&D/Supply/Procurement, and Finance.
  3. Framing and articulating project inquiries to facilitate informed and agile decision-making.
  4. Applying the standard Supply operating strategy matrix to recommend the finished goods sourcing approach.
  5. Proactively identifying issues and risks, bringing them to the project team's attention for mitigation or resolution.
  6. Elevating project challenges to the Brand Initiative Leader/Director for visibility and support in resolution when necessary.
  7. Coordinating the formal Alert Process with global teams when critical issues arise, facilitating crisis collaboration among the project team as needed.
  8. Your portfolio may encompass Innovation/new launches; Gross Margin Improvement projects; Regulatory compliance projects; Preservation projects.
  9. Collaborating with multi-functional partners to deliver a portfolio of initiatives that align with the brand innovation strategy in consumer offerings, business scale, and profitability, while meeting Coty standards.
  10. Ensuring Initiative Success by clarifying business objectives and expectations, delivering project Success Criteria, and prioritizing Business First, Project Second.
  11. Maintaining gate adherence percentages and ensuring timely project start-up by linking activity calendars to project complexity via standard CPS.
Project Success:

Delivering initiatives Right First Time (on time, on quality) with high Customer Service achievement (OTIF/Fill Rate) and establishing a sustainable manufacturing/procurement supply chain.

YOU ARE A COTY FIT

As an experienced Giftsets Initiative Manager, you thrive in a fast-paced, diverse, and international environment. Additionally, you:

  1. Possess proven experience in Supply Chain roles.
  2. Have a successful track record in managing projects and delivering on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  3. Have experience delivering projects as a leader and/or member of a cross-functional team.
  4. Are familiar with project management methodologies, including CPS/Project Planning and standard project management tools.
  5. Have experience operating within a matrix structure and across international borders.
  6. Hold a technical Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  7. Are fluent in English (both spoken and written).
  8. Have a strong understanding of new product development processes and the stage gate approach.
  9. Possess a solid understanding of MRP system logic.
  10. Have experience in a production environment and knowledge of packaging, process, and manufacturing interactions.
  11. Exhibit strong capabilities in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.
  12. Additional experience in planning, purchasing, or technical environments is advantageous.
  13. Preferably have experience in Coty Operations or related industries such as pharmaceuticals, food, or FMCG.
