Ramp Safety Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ramp Safety Coordinator to join our team at Newrest. As a key member of our Safety and Training team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of our ramp operations.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate compliance on the ramp and take immediate corrective actions to ensure safe behaviors and outcomes.
- Guide and ensure safe operations on the ramp, including coaching drivers on safe practices.
- Conduct dock audits and address safety violations, including improper chocking and reversing without a guide.
- Complete reports and send updates via WhatsApp safety auditor group, including details of incidents or accidents.
- Ensure compliance with all Newrest, airport, civil aviation, security, and local regulatory standards.
- Work with operations teams to deliver effective safety briefings and proactive safety communication programs.
- Support safety training initiatives and continuously identify, assess, and reduce/eliminate health and safety risks.
- Investigate accidents, injuries, and safety opportunities and complete associated reports and make recommendations for corrective actions.
- Must be flexible and able to work extra hours and weekends, bank holidays, and evenings when required.
- Consider shift start and finish times and transport links to site, living within reasonable travelling distance to the site may be a consideration.
