Lead Cloud Security Engineer

In the role of Lead Cloud Security Engineer at Qlik, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding our SaaS Cloud Infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include researching, designing, and implementing advanced security measures that comply with our policies, standards, and legal obligations. You will be an essential member of our innovative team, ensuring that security is integrated throughout every stage of the infrastructure's lifecycle.

- Promoting Cloud Security: Develop, advocate for, and oversee the implementation of robust cloud security protocols, positively influencing the entire Qlik infrastructure.
- Security Architecture Evaluations: Perform security architecture assessments for new and existing product or platform components, ensuring adherence to the highest security standards.
- Independence and Responsibility: Proactively identify and resolve security challenges, continuously enhancing incident detection and risk management.
- Policy Revisions and Assessments: Engage in the revision of security policies, internal and external audits, penetration testing, and vulnerability evaluations, contributing to a secure operational environment.
- Expertise in the Field: Establish yourself as a recognized authority on cloud infrastructure security, sharing insights and knowledge throughout the organization.
We seek a candidate with:
- 5+ Years of Experience: In Cloud Security, Infrastructure Security, or a related domain, demonstrating a solid foundation in Cloud technologies and Information Security.
- Strong Communication Skills: Proven ability to effectively communicate and influence business stakeholders, fostering collaboration.
- Cloud Technology Expertise: Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and familiarity with DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Kubernetes, Containers, and CI/CD practices.
- Automation Proficiency: Extensive experience in implementing and automating security best practices using infrastructure as code tools and programming languages.
- Knowledge of Security Tools: Familiarity with security solutions such as firewalls, WAF, CSPM, CWPP, SIEM, SOAR, and CNAPP.
- Self-directed Work Style: Capability to work independently, taking charge of security challenges and driving effective solutions.
- Global Team Experience: Experience working in diverse, global teams, bringing adaptability and a broad perspective.
- Proficiency in English: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
