About the Role
As an EMEA Data Center Project Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering projects within budget, time constraints, and scope. You'll manage all aspects of projects, setting processes, deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress. Your role involves preparing reports for upper management regarding project status.
The EMEA Data Center Project Lead collaborates directly with local teams and PM clients to ensure deliverables align with the defined scope and budget. You will coordinate with various departments to guarantee seamless execution and achieve customer satisfaction. You'll also cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key accounts in the EMEA market.
Responsibilities
- Project Coordination and Resource Allocation: Coordinate internal resources and vendors for successful project execution. Ensure resource availability and allocation across projects.
- Project Planning and Documentation: Assist in defining project scope and objectives with stakeholders. Develop comprehensive project plans and documentation to track progress and share with clients and team members.
- On-time Delivery and Budget Management: Deliver all projects on time, within the defined scope, and budget. Meet budgetary objectives and adjust constraints based on financial analysis.
- Change and Risk Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate techniques. Perform risk management to minimize potential risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Performance Measurement and Reporting: Measure project performance using relevant tools and techniques. Track progress to analyze successful completion of goals. Report and escalate any issues to management as needed.
- Client and Stakeholder Relationship Management: Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders. Meet with clients to clarify project requirements and expectations. Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Task Delegation and Leadership Development: Delegate project tasks based on team members' strengths and experience. Continuously develop leadership skills to guide and motivate the project team.
- Continuous Learning and Other Duties: Attend training and conferences to stay current with industry best practices. Develop spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document project needs. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent work experience - A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience OR an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Proven working experience in project management
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus
