KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • The ROV & Survey Project Manager shall be responsible for the delivery of assigned projects within the DeepOcean Africa Region. The ROV & Survey Project Manager is accountable for project performance and delivery of all phases of the assigned projects in line with organisational processes and with due consideration for safety and occupational health of personnel, the environment and assets.
  • Responsible for projects and that they are completed within budgets and schedules while meeting clients' needs, business objectives and HSEQS requirements.

ROLE SPECIFIC

  • To understand the project contract, project scope, requirement and execution.
  • Responsible for informing the Superior of any matters of importance to the project(s) performance or any other matters of importance to Company performance.
  • Act as a project focal point for project team and support in project delivery of all phases.
  • Identification of key project optimizations and variations.
  • Support in commercial processes for key tenders and commercial opportunities in technical and cost inputs.

KEY TASKS

  • Take active responsibility for project HSEQS performance and maintain focus on key areas such as improvement opportunities and lagging events.
  • Ensure compliance to the organisational Project Model and applicable processes within BMS.
  • Maintain Project Reporting requirements internally and externally and Prepare for- and participate in Monthly Project Reviews (MPR).
  • Contribute towards optimum ROV asset and equipment scheduling within projects and towards adjacent projects to ensure best utilisation.
  • Coordinate with asset and operations management to ensure ROV asset maintenance is considered within project operational schedule.
  • Establishment and monitoring of Project Execution methodology and ensure that each project organisation is capable of handling the projects' tasks.
  • Be DeepOcean representative and single point of contact in active contracts and liaise with Client representative accordingly.
  • Actively pursue additional business with Client representatives and operational networks.
  • Perform worksite and vessel visits when feasible to provide Project Management involvement and support to ongoing operations.
  • Prepare project/contract input to budgets.
  • Approve projects' costs as applicable and within given mandate.
  • Ensure continuous improvement in projects and support lessons learned and knowledge transfer processes internally and externally.
  • Report any project concerns that that may require focus outside project to Projects and Operations Director in order to seek solutions.
  • Laise with supporting function in the delivery of project requirements, HSEQ, Operations, Crewing, Engineering, Cost Control.

  • HSEQS targets are obtained within projects.
  • Financial targets are obtained throughout the Projects.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues, clients and suppliers.
  • The Project Model is adhered to for all projects.
  • Monthly Project Review participation.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS SPECIFIC TO THE ROLE

  • Bachelor or Master Degree of other relevant education
  • Project Management Institute Membership
  • ROV Operational knowledge and experience
  • 10 years in industry related role
  • Operational experience: Engineering, survey, inspection or Offshore Manager.
  • Commercial experience: Tender participation or Tender Manager

You will report to the Project & Operations Director of Africa Region.

The role is based in Sète office in South of France. Staff or contract option.
