The Role: Android Developer - Video Streaming Expert

We are seeking a talented and experienced Android Developer to join our growing engineering team. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining our Android application, with a particular focus on delivering a seamless and high-quality video streaming experience for millions of users.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced Android applications, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement new features, particularly those related to video playback and streaming.
  • Contribute to the development of a robust and scalable architecture for our Android application, prioritizing reliability and maintainability.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Android technologies and best practices, continuously seeking opportunities to improve our codebase and development processes.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Java or Kotlin, with a strong understanding of Android SDK principles and design patterns.
  • Hands-on experience developing and integrating video streaming solutions, preferably using ExoPlayer or similar libraries.
  • Familiarity with architectural patterns such as MVVM or MVI to ensure code organization and maintainability.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for delivering high-quality software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with JetPack Compose for modern Android UI development.
  • Knowledge of video streaming protocols and technologies (e.g., HLS, DASH).
  • Contribution to open-source projects or a portfolio showcasing relevant Android development experience.
