We are seeking a Service Operations Coordinator who will be primarily responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance operations within our Field Service division.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Service Operations Coordinator, your role will center on managing international service projects focused on the maintenance, repair, and enhancement of customer assets. Your duties will include planning activities, scheduling resources (both human and material), coordinating execution, and establishing invoicing for completed tasks.
In this capacity, you will monitor project progress and ensure adherence to Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards. You will also be accountable for the financial performance of your projects.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Leading and coordinating Field Service operations, including personnel management, spare parts logistics, cost control, and time management. Managing multiple service projects concurrently. Supporting field service personnel during assignments and ensuring effective briefings and debriefings for engineers. Planning and preparing projects while monitoring Field Service Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Acting as the primary contact for customers from project initiation through to invoicing. Facilitating communication between customers, engineers, and sales teams throughout the service delivery process. Promoting effective collaboration with other departments (Technical Service, Sales Proposals, Sales, Contract Management, etc.) to meet internal and external customer needs. Following up on service work orders until invoicing is complete, including managing change orders, technical documentation, timesheets, travel expenses, and vendor invoices. Administering all projects in SAP and CRM (ServiceWorkForce). Ensuring that engineers execute work in compliance with Wärtsilä's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines and customer protocols.Qualifications:
Mechanical knowledge, preferably with a technical background in Field Service Engineering or a bachelor's degree in engineering. Technical understanding of marine products and services, as well as internal combustion engines, is advantageous. Experience in project management is essential. Proficiency in standard office software; familiarity with SAP and Salesforce is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with diverse internal and external stakeholders. Previous experience in managing teams is preferred. Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
