Position OverviewWe are currently seeking a Head of Financial Consolidation and Accounting Operations to join our Finance team at our Paris headquarters. Reporting directly to the Group CFO, this pivotal role is responsible for overseeing all financial processes within the group, ensuring the utmost quality and reliability.
The Head will lead the Finance Operations teams, comprising approximately fifteen professionals, and will coordinate with external service providers, including consolidation firms and local accounting agencies across various regions. This position also involves managing relationships with auditors and collaborating closely with all Finance teams, particularly Financial Control.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Head of Financial Consolidation and Accounting Operations will be accountable for:
- Accounting: Guaranteeing the accuracy of monthly accounting and the timely production of annual statutory financial statements for all Group entities.
- Consolidation: Directing the preparation of the Group's consolidated financial statements, transitioning from local accounting standards to IFRS, and managing auditor relationships.
- Tax Compliance: Ensuring adherence to tax regulations across the jurisdictions where the Group operates, documenting tax positions, and coordinating with external advisors.
- Process Optimization: Standardizing and enhancing processes across various group entities and facilitating the integration of new entities or regions.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline from a recognized business school.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in financial roles, demonstrating a strong command of financial processes and technical expertise in accounting and consolidation.
- Experience in both audit firms and corporate environments.
- Proficiency in IFRS standards.
- The capability to manage complex, cross-functional projects while remaining informed about technical developments, supported by advisors and auditors, and being actively involved in routine accounting and tax operations.
- Fluency in English and French, both written and spoken.
- A proactive, pragmatic, and adaptable approach essential for success in this role.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external service providers.
