Job Description
Safran Electronics & Defense, a leading company in the field of optics and electronics, is seeking a skilled Optician-Mechanic Technician to join its team in Dijon. With over 60 years of experience, our company has established itself as a major player in the industry, with a strong presence in the global market.
Our site in Dijon is located near the city center, in the heart of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. The city offers a unique blend of history, culture, and innovation, making it an attractive location for professionals and families alike.
As an Optician-Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and integrating optical-mechanical systems on terrestrial, naval, and aeronautical visors. Your tasks will include:
- Assembling optical-mechanical components with precision and accuracy
- Measuring and controlling the product on optronics benches
- Identifying non-conformities and proposing corrective actions
- Improving the manufacturing process and suggesting solutions for optimizing product quality
You will work in a cleanroom environment and may be required to work in 2x8 shifts depending on operational needs.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in optics/photonics or a related field
- Knowledge of mechanics and/or electronics
- Passion for cutting-edge technologies and a willingness to learn and adapt
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality
